Further, our aim is to cultivate the true meaning of freedom.

Description

AsThe Board of Directors of the Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas, Inc. prepares for its 11 Annual Celebration of this most historic moment, we would like to invite your participation. It is our belief that your involvement will be a statement of support for the ideals of our Nation which essentially read as "Liberty and Justice for All." The concept of Juneteenth therefore transcends all socio-economic and political delineations because it is about respect for humanity and our universal rights to freedom. The 4-day festival, 2008 Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas, will be celebrated at Independence Park, 300 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC beginning Thursday, June 19 th, 2008 and ending Sunday, June 22 nd, 2008. The park will accommodate over 70,500 square feet of vendors, children's activities, workshops and exhibits. During festival dates, attendees will enjoy "food" for the mind, body, and soul.
