The American Lung Association is "Fighting for Air" through research, education and advocacy. For over 100 years, the American Lung Association has led the fight for healthy lungs and healthy air. Now in our second century, the American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives, improve lung health and prevent lung disease. Today we're funding research that continues to unlock the secrets of lung diseases, from asthma to lung cancer. Our local Lung Associations across the country are critical partners in health, working at the community, state and regional level to fight for healthy lungs and healthy air for all communities. American Lung Association Mission Goals Include:
-Eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related lung disease.
-Improve the air we breathe so it will not cause or worsen lung disease.
-Reduce the burden of lung disease on patients and their families
