Description
Cherry Health, Michigan’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), operates in six counties across the state, is based in Grand Rapids. With a team of more than 800 health care professionals at 20 locations, Cherry Health focuses on removing barriers, expanding access, and delivering comprehensive quality health care services to underserved communities, regardless of an individual’s insurance status or ability to pay. We provide primary care, dental, vision, behavioral health, pharmacy services, and more.
AmeriCorps
Cherry Health AmeriCorps is a health-focused AmeriCorps program located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This long-standing program is a recipient of the new Public Health AmeriCorps funding, forming a partnership between AmeriCorps and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The focus of Cherry Health AmeriCorps is to decrease health disparities in underserved communities by providing evidence-based health education, Medicaid enrollment assistance, and supportive services to bridge gaps is health care.
