Mission Statement
Mending Hearts Charities, Inc. is dedicated to the revitalization of the Holden Heights community in Orlando, FL. Mending Hearts will accomplish these goals by building meaningful relationships that ensure a quality neighborhood environment, economic growth, and healthy stable families. In additions, Mending Hearts Charities, Inc. will provide basic affordable housing to the residents of Holden Heights and facilitate programs that make the community a better place to live.
Description
Mending Hearts provides affordable housing to low income and disabled families. We need help renovating unoccupied units, painting interior and exterior units and landscaping properties. We also recently opened our Village house which will house our community programs to expand outreach within our neighborhood. Several children need mentoring and after school tutoring to be successful this year.

This is a real charity but the core mission of the outreach is not honored. The spokes person Stephanie Richards is very rude and un-professional leader. She is very visiually selective of her volunteers. The charity does not openly help the community or it's residents without complications or backlash verbally from it's spokes person Stephanie Richards. I would not recommend this charity to those whom really wants to help in the Holden Heights Community. I would recommend contacting a Orange County established resource in the area to do the most good. This lady is not true to her mission for the Holden Height Community or it residents.

What an awesome group of people helping others in need. The kids were wonderful and so appreciative of our time. They definetly got my attention, alittle time meant alot to these kids.
The holiday party was a blast, the kids had so much fun seeing Santa and making cookies. The other volunteers were professional individuals with a big heart. Affordable housing is almost non existent - we are trying really hard on a little budget. They sure got my heart - as a dedicated volunteer for this effort I support them in all they do. It was a worthy event.
