SOCIALIZATION EXPERTS NEEDED (Wild Kittens)

THE PROBLEM Driving down the road and seeing wild kittens fending for themselves. Already have way too many foster cats and not enough foster homes. Do we drive by, hoping they'll survive? Maybe someone else will take them in? We now have feral kittens that are between 10 and 12 weeks old who have a chance to be adopted if you are able to help us to "flip" them. THE SOLUTION? You. The odds are against them and that is why we need you, the "expert" to work with one or two of them to help them calm down. TIMING IS CRUCIAL! We need you NOW so please help. All medical expenses, food, litter for the kittens are paid for by Candy's Cats. The kittens may fear bite or scratch and we cannot be responsible for that.

Fundraising Coordinator

Do you love cats? Would you like to be part of an amazing adventure with an already established no-kill rescue in Central Florida? Candy's Cats has opened its Adoption Cottage to help us find homes for more kitties in the local area. To do this, we need major funding to keep this and our Welcome Center operating and we need someone whose passion aligns with ours and whose desire is to help us to achieve our financial goals. Are you that person? We need someone who has boots on the ground experience and the knowledge and experience to be able to provide the initial outline to completion with minimal supervision. We are open-minded to your experience and look forward to you coming on board. Our office is located in Apopka, between Park Avenue and 429 on W. Main Street. You will not be required to work out of the cottage, but are encouraged. Please be prepared to provide us with the names of organizations that you worked successfully as a fundraiser (and you will be asked about any not-so-great experiences as well.) TRANSPORTATION - LOCAL TO AREA FOR CATS

Do you love cats but you can't have one? Or, you have one or a dozen but still want to help? Here is a typical transport request. 1. Need cats transported from foster homes to one of the pet stores or to our office,located in Apopka. 2. Need cats transported from foster homes to the vet and/or transported from vet to foster home. 2a. Need cats transported from one foster home to another foster home. 3. Need paperwork picked up from vet offices and brought to pet stores or to the office. 4. Need paperwork transported from the office to pet stores. 5. Need transportation to pick up medical supplies in different areas. 6. Need transportation from Orange or Seminole County Animal Services. Must have driver's license, valid insurance with full coverage and a reliable car with air conditioning that works. All driving is in Orange and Seminole County. Very rarely do we go to Osceola or Lake County but we have. Appearance must be neat and clean. No smoking around the cats or medical supplies.

Candy's Cats Adoption Center Volunteer - Weekends

Do you love cats? If you love cats and would like to interact with some on the weekends, this is a great opportunity. Candy's Cats keeps cats at the Petsmart Adoption Center at Winter Garden Village. On the weekends there are adoption events every Saturday from 12-3. We need volunteers to come into the store on the weekends to help with the adoption events. First is cleaning the adoption center while the cats are at the adoption event. There are litter boxes to be scooped, cubicles to be cleaned and sanitized, food and water that needs to be refreshed, and floors that need to be swept and mopped. The cleaning usually takes 2 hours and once complete, volunteers help with the adoption event and can entertain the cats and help with the event through closing. This can be a recurring volunteer opportunity to earn community service hours.

Volunteer/Foster Coordinator

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

Purpose: Continuously check for applications submitted in response to open volunteer positions posted on Candys Cats website. Perform follow up activities to complete timely response to applicants, conduct a screening process, and make recommendations to Candy on appropriate candidate selection. Act as the key contact support all current volunteers as well as coordinating with the Volunteer Assessment Group on various activities. Duties and Responsibilities: Create and provide recruitment ads to the Webmaster. Post volunteer roles on Volunteer Match, or other related resources Schedule and conduct phone interviews with applicants for posted skill specific volunteer openings. Check personal CCI inbox frequently to respond to questions or issues from volunteers. Research and ensure timely response to resolve volunteer issues and answers questions. Conducts exit interviews, when applicable. Engages with the Program Committee to discuss volunteer retention and satisfaction requiring their input. Provide a short report on volunteer requirement activities and supporting statistics to Candy ahead of each quarterly board meeting. Participates as a member the Program Committee. Mandatory attendance at Board Meetings 2-7 Hours per week commitment Qualifications: Must be over 25 years of age and have reliable transportation. Previous management experience required. Excellent communication skills, including oral and written. Previous experience in positions that required demonstration of time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Google Workspace as well as Microsoft Office.

Candy's Cat s Inc. (CCI) was founded and incorporated in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue. Based in Apopka FL, CCI has volunteers and foster homes spread across 3 Central Florida counties. Since 2005 CCI has saved thousands of cats and has built a solid reputation in the community. The CCI team is passionate about saving cats. The rescue has active adoption programs with two pet stores, a fundraising program that finances the organization, and a TNR program that helps the feral cats in the community.

since I was born I have always had contact with animals because my mother and father are veterinarians so my love for animals is very big, so whenever I can I will help them and I will recommend this work because the more people helping the better
