Description
Program Offerings:
Therapeutic Horseback Riding Lessons: Participants use their abilities to learn the actual skills involved in riding a horse. We utilize specially trained horses, volunteers, instructors, and adaptive equipment to encourage participants to be as independent as possible. Riding sessions can include the grooming and tacking of horses, playing with horses on the ground, formal riding instruction, games on horseback, exercises, and sensory trail rides. We currently offer riding lessons with an emphasis in natural horsemanship.
Horsin' Around: This program is designed for independent disabled riders, as well as non-disabled beginner and intermediate kids and adults. Volunteers are welcome too! This program is for people who want to learn to ride or improve their riding skills. Students will be grouped by age and ability for group lessons. Private lessons are available. Classes focus on learning Natural Horsemanship techniques, empowering students to be well-rounded equestrians.
