Description
Founded in 1977, Elizabeth Park Conservancy is a non-profit organization that works with the City of Hartford, Connecticut to maintain and preserve the gardens and grounds of Elizabeth Park. We do this through fund-raising and volunteerism.
As a small non-profit, we rely on volunteers to help us maintain the various display gardens of this 102 acre horticultural park. These include: rose, bulb/annual, shade/rock, heritage rose, perennial, hosta and native gardens.
Our need for volunteers is ongoing throughout the growing season (April-December) and we welcome individual volunteers as well as corporate, civic, horticultural, academic and religous groups.
