Job Description: Lead a group of volunteer Writers and a Copy Editor for Doing Good, a 501c3 nonprofit. Due to board activities, all Doing Good board members are asked to live in Tennessee. Responsibilities Serve on the Board of Directors with a focus on strategy. Partner closely with the Creative Director and other Board Members as their volunteers write. Lead and effectively mentor Doing Good volunteer Writers with a focus on storytelling, brand management, creative storytelling given few resources, and keeping them on schedule. Participate and vote in Board Meetings. Use Google Drive, Trello, and Zoom. Qualifications: Exemplify qualities of honesty, integrity and sound moral character. Have a sincere passion for doing good in the community. Be a visionary committed to the young organization’s success. Board Member Requirements All Doing Good board members are asked to live in Tennessee. Passion for, understanding of and experienced in writing, human interest stories, volunteers and/or volunteerism. Think strategically as a board member and be hands-on with the committee. Donate to Doing Good. Participate in Board Meetings. Participate in Doing Good events. Nominate annually at least 1 Featured Volunteer. Participate in Board votes online and offline. Think strategically as a board member and be hands-on with the committee. Time Involved: Approximately 4 hours/month, though it will vary. Job Description: Strategize and oversee Doing Good Social Media. Time Involved: Approximately 5 hours monthly including the monthly committee meeting and board activities. Activities Oversee the Social Media Committee. Campaigns and cross-promotion of Doing Good activities are encouraged. Participate in Board Meetings and give Social Media updates. Work closely with the current Social Media volunteer who manages several platforms. Partner with Executive Director, Board Members, and various organizational leaders whose activities directly impact social media. Use Google Drive. Job Description: Work on short-term, or continue longer-term, administrative efforts for Doing Good. Time Involved: Approximately 1-3 hours/month. Responsibilities Implement administrative activities as led by the Executive Director. Some are short-term projects, others are long-term. Project examples range from computer work to sending welcome notes to new volunteers. View the list of admin opportunities, choose one or two that work for your availability at the time, update the contact person and spreadsheet as there are questions and once it's complete. Then, continue with a new task or two. Willingness to learn, or already familiar with, Google Drive, MS Suite, Trello.

Doing Good seeks a Tennessee volunteer as its next Podcast Co-Host. Responsibilities: Represent Doing Good on the Doing Good podcast. To interview volunteers featured on the Doing Good podcast, and sometimes help them share their volunteer stories. Ask them solid lead-in questions which are already written. Ask questions conversationally to help them share more. Listen well. To partner with the podcast production team, notably the Podcast Producers and Editors. Offer a somewhat flexible schedule so volunteer interviews can be scheduled, typically during the weekdays online. Qualifications: At least 24 years of age. Exemplify qualities of honesty, integrity and sound moral character. Have a sincere passion for volunteers. Preference given to those with flexible schedules and able to volunteer during the day. Understand Doing Good is a growing nonprofit. Additional podcast host opportunities may evolve over time. Doing Good is a young 501c3 non-profit which provides Marketing and PR tools and opportunities to non-profit and government agencies.
