If you are looking for a way to truly give back to the community, have 1+ or more hours per week or want to volunteer on your terms only when you are available. We'd love to speak with you. Canopy of Neighbors is based on the "Village to Village" model (vtv.org) and helps seniors, over the age of 62, remain independent and living healthy lifestyles IN our community. Our volunteers take members to outings, events, grocery shopping, medical appointments and more. It is more than a ride to our members... Canopy volunteers provide a meaningful touch points to healthy living, promote improved mental health and help meet practical needs for its members. Touchpoint Volunteer

Canopy assists seniors wishing to age in place in their homes with transportation through volunteers, social events, speaker events, and more. Community Service Volunteers

Meet your community service hours easily on your schedule! Canopy of Neighbors has great community service opportunities that will fit into any college students' schedule. Volunteers are able to assist seniors living in the Buffalo Community of Elmwood village, Delaware District, Hertel area, Allen Town and more. Volunteer opportunity emails come to you with requests needed from Canopy members. You pick and choose what opportunity you would like to do. Great opportunity for PT, OT, and Nursing students. If you are an art student or physical fitness student we would like to develop an activity around your expertise, please reach out and we will try to customize a volunteer opportunity specifically for you. Volunteer Driver

If you are interested in volunteering but want flexibility to meet your schedule, you may want to consider Canopy of neighbors. Emails are sent out twice a week to volunteers. Volunteers are able to choose volunteer opportunities and determine what works for them? Pick up multiple rides a week or as few as once a month. It is all up to you! Drivers needed to help member living in the Elmwood Village/Delaware/Hertel/Waterfront District get to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and social events.
