We are recruiting for a Volunteer (UNPAID) Marketing Director / Social Media Manager. Must have experience with multiple social media platforms including facebook, instagram, and YouTube. Must be over the age of 18 and live within Ventura County or the San Fernando Valley, CA in order to personally visit the Rescue Horses, take photos, make news stories / blogs to assist with Community Outreach and Fundraising online regularly. Position requires creating, implementing, evaluating, and revising ongoing social media campaigns to promote Volunteer opportunities, Horse Sponsorship opportunities, Foster Care opportunities, Donation Drives, Fundraisers, Adoptions Outreach, Community Outreach Events, Online Promotions and Marketing. Must enhance and incorporate our Website and work collaboratively with our Volunteer Web Designer and our Directors. Position requires regular communications via email, phone, and/or band phone app. Creativity, positive attitude, team-player approach, pro-active self-starter a must. Creative photography and videography a must.

Minimum age of 18 (or Age 15 - 17 with a Parent / Guardian) 2.) Prior horse handling experience (on the ground - no riding opportunities) 3.) No injuries / physical limitations 4.) No alcohol, drugs, smoking, pets, visitors while you volunteer 5.) Interested in Natural Horsemanship Groundwork (Parelli Natural Horsemanship preferred, or similar) 6.) Personal liability / medical insurance required 7.) Personal transportation between horse sites required (no central ranch location) 8.) Service hours are Monday through Sunday - 9am to 6pm (Set your own weekly service hours) 9.) Use of computer technology for data record-keeping on your service sessions (band phone app) 10.) We are recruiting for an Assistant Facilitator / Co-Director - Equine Assisted Learning "Horse Powered Reading" Program. This Volunteer position requires 10 - 15 hours per month service time for planning and execution of an Equine Assisted Learning program in Horse Powered Reading, based on EAGALA model of "therapeutic literacy skills building". This position will be located in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Santa Rosa Valley, CA. Ideal candidates have a passion for equine welfare, and horse-human connections, helping children and youth develop confidence and skills to empower themselves to learn literacy skills and build on their strengths, while bonding with rescue horses and ponies in a fun and creative learning environment. Ideal candidates are organized, pro-active, positive, creative, and communicative, with a team-player approach. We will be collaborating with all Foster Caregivers and selected rescue horses / ponies to promote our summer Equine Assisted Learning Horse Powered Reading Workshops. We do not need someone with a therapy / clinical background. This is not a "therapy" program. But, if you have experience in Special Education / Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing, that would be ideal, as we are hoping to open this program to youth and teens with hearing loss who are struggling with reading and writing in the English language. No sign language required. We are focusing on listening and spoken language. Horse experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Leadership and organizational management skills / team-building and outreach skills are required. During the school year (mid-August - mid-June), planning meetings will be held on weekends only. During the summer months, weekdays will be available for planning. The program will be implemented mostly in July. Could expand to year-round.

This position requires at least 10 hours per month service time, coordinating an Online Charity Auction 2 to 4 times per year. Age 18 or older please. Ideal cadidates will be local to Ventura County or the San Fernando Valley, CA. Must have experience with Auctria Auctions, or other Online Charity Auction platforms, and be willing to coordinate with our Executive Director to gather prizes, design and promote the auction, and assist with follow up for prize winners / letters of thanks to sponsors and donors. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, pro-active team-player with experience in this area, creativity to drive progress, and communication / collaboration skills coupled with professionalism in his / her demeanor.
