Mission Statement
The mission of the Carousel of Happiness, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, is to promote happiness, well-being, and service to others through stories and experiences.
Description
The Carousel of Happiness is Nederland Colorado’s magical menagerie featuring 56 whimsical, hand-carved animals on a restored 1910 Looff carousel, turning to the music of a 1913 Wurlitzer band organ.

The Carousel has 36 colorful, hand-carved animals to ride, and 25 smaller animals keeping them company. Tiny fairies fly overhead and hide in the shadows.
Upstairs there is an observation window, a small party room, and a Do-It-Yourself Puppet Theatre housed in a lovingly restored anitque band organ facade.
Stories abound here, and our professional sound-recording booth, the Story Catcher, will help you keep those stories alive. For a $10 suggested donation, your story is recorded on a USB drive.
The Carousel Gift Shop sells carousel-themed tees, hats, sweatshirts, and memoribilia, including books written by our frounder, operators and members of the carousel family.
