Description
LSS is the largest, statewide non-profit social service agency in Minnesota with over 2, 400 employees who serve in 300 communities. It is owned by the six Minnesota synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Services are divided into four divisions:
- Children and Youth
- Families and Adults
- Older Adults
- People with Disabilities
Volunteers are a growing part of LSS with more than 10,000 active volunteers working for the vision: LSS Volunteers change lives by encouraging hope and connecting communities, by energizing staff and enhancing services, by growing their own talents and sense of purpose.

Hi, I would like to help because I am a former veteran with a passion for helping others. I would also like to one day work withe homeless population in my future career in social work. I feel like this would be a great have for me to give back and also gain valuable experience in the field.
