Grace Hospice is actively recruiting new volunteers - humans and pets! Obedient and socialized pets make excellent companions for our patients and tend to bring lots of smiles and joy to everyone. If you have a well-trained and friendly pet over the age of one who responds appropriately to verbal commands, please consider putting them to work at Grace! We would also love to connect with individuals with therapy-certified pets. We welcome your application. As always, we seek openhearted adult volunteers to provide companionship and comfort to our patients and families. We ask volunteers to commit to 2-4 visits per month, and scheduling is very flexible. Volunteer functions vary and depend on areas of interest and experience. Roles include companionship, caregiver respite, legacy work, virtual bereavement support, and more. Training is provided at orientation and optional monthly educational workshops. At this time, we are especially eager to recruit volunteers interested in working with companion-seeking patients with dementia. Applications welcomed! Thanks so much for your consideration. Apply using our MyImpact platform here . Questions - Contact Grace Volunteer Services at GraceVolunteerServices@gracecaring.org, or call 612-238-0034. About Grace Hospice: Grace Hospice was developed through a partnership with Augustana Care (now Cassia) and Mount Olivet Careview home. These organizations have a long history of quality care, have rich blessings of volunteers, and provide service to those in physical, emotional, or spiritual need. Fostering peace and grace, we emotionally and spiritually support the patient and their loved ones. We work as an interdisciplinary team and encircle patients with comfort, honesty, and respect for their decisions. Our mission is to serve God by recognizing that every person deserves to live with respect and dignity, free of pain, and in an environment that promotes quality of life. We serve the metro Twin Cities and surrounding areas and meet patients wherever they call home.
