Mission Statement
Colorado State Capitol Visitor Services staff provides assistance to 70,000 people annually. We conduct tours and provide information and concierge-type services for the public, including many international and domestic tourists, student groups, and government affiliates.
Description
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers with an interest in Colorado history and state goverment who enjoy working with the public. Capitol guides are responsible for leading tours, staffing the gift desk, Capitol museum and dome observation area, and providing visitors with concierge-type services.
The Capitol is open Monday thru Friday - we do not offer volunteers hours on weekends or evenings.
Our volunteers also have the opportunity to participate in fun events like our annual Colorado Day celebration. In the fall, we welcome our volunteer staff to join us for monthly field trips and get-togethers.
Parking is provided for volunteers during their shifts.
