Mission Statement
The Hawaii Theatre Center exists to serve the arts audiences, arts organizations and community of Hawaii by:
Preserving one of Hawaii’s national historic landmarks
Showcasing Hawaiian cultural arts activities
Producing and presenting viable signature entertainments
Offering arts education for students
Providing a rental venue for community gatherings.
The HTC’s guiding principles include sustainability, inclusivity, excellence and integrity.
The Center is a private, Not-for-Profit 501(c) 3.
Description
Proclaimed as the "Pride of the Pacific," the beautiful Hawaii Theatre has been entertaining Hawaii’s audiences for more than 90 years. From vaudevilles and plays to silent films, musicals, ballets and concerts, the theatre’s popularity has grown and continues to charm eager showgoers and curious audiences alike.
