Autism Speaks is a hate group disguised as a charity. They are trying to eradicate autism, something that many autistic people, including myself, do not want nor think is necessary. Autism Speaks uses the term Asperger's, which was named after Hans Asperger, a nazi. They also have harmful ads such as I am autism, where, from the supposed point of view of autism, they discuss how autism ruins lives, and they also have an ad wherein a mother describes how she wanted to drive herself and her autistic daughter off of a cliff, and only didn't because she still has a neurotypical child. She also said that in front of the autistic daughter. Autism Speaks does not use the majority of their donations for actual charitable causes either. Autism Speaks is a hate group and should not be given space on any reputable platform designed to help people volunteer for actually charitable organizations.
