Mission Statement

The Melanoma Education Foundation provides education about melanoma and self-examination of the skin to detect this common and deadly skin cancer at an early stage while it is curable.

Description

The Melanoma Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides melanoma videos and related resources to high school and middle school health educators and students through the website https://www.melanomaeducation.net.

At last count over 1700 schools in all 50 states were utilizing our online videos to educate students about early self-detection and prevention of melanoma. The teacher-training video and student videos produced by MEF received Gold Triangle awards from the American Academy of Dermatology.

We also provide melanoma education to the general public through another website https://www.skincheck.org.

We received a quick response to our email about volunteering and clear direction about what was needed for the task. We also received a nice letter verifying the community service hours. Great organization to work with!
