A Scrum Master is a professional who leads a team using Agile project management through the course of a project. A Scrum Master facilitates all the communication and collaboration between leadership and team players to ensure a successful outcome. What do Scrum Masters do all day? A scrum master is the master of the daily scrum. They need to do sprint planning, review, and retrospectives daily. Their key responsibility is to remove impediments and help the team become more organized and empowered to innovate and make decisions. This doesn't mean that they have to be an absolute whiz at every programming language a dev team uses to build apps, but they do need to understand at least some of the basics. Having a working knowledge of coding can help them better design systems that help developers get the job done. Scrum masters usually spend a minimum of 15 hours a week with one team, but most work with multiple teams. Many jobs require that you spend around an hour preparing for the day and any meetings you have and up to two hours going over the reports from your team. Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing. Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the game design team, art team, UX/UI team, content development team, landing page team. Tracking project processes, deliverables. Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders. Being highly organized. Scrum Master Requirements: Gaming and scrum master experience A MUST.
