Through our Veterans to Veterans Volunteer Program, Veterans can support other Veterans who are terminally ill. No one understands the questions and concerns of a U.S. Military Veteran more than a fellow Veteran and your sharing of stories will help to promote life-review and healing. We will match you with a veteran who needs your support. Heartland Hospice Volunteers bring the gift of friendship to terminally ill patients. Volunteers offer companionship, lend an ear, share experiences & stories, hold a hand, give a needed hug, and offer words of comfort. Questions? Call or email Sam at 800-236-1989 or 920-926-1144 or samantha.urbas@heartlandhospice.com Must be 18 years or older. We provide training and ongoing support. Volunteer hours are flexible and scheduled according to your availability.
