Are you looking for a meaningful service project? Has your family been impacted by Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia? Are you considering a career in medicine or science? Let's connect! Join the Alzheimer's Association and use your passion to help raise awareness and funds for the fight to end Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia. In the recent past, mitzvah projects have included a Kickball Tournament, Swim-a-thon, cycling, bowling, shoe drive, coffee and donuts to hand out resources. The Alzheimer's Association will be able to assist you before, during and after your BIG day. We've worked with hundreds of participants over the years and helped them channel their creativity and passion and use it as a way to educate their community, raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the local Alzheimer's Association chapter. Email me to schedule a call to see if this is a good fit for you. We are here to help make your mitzvah project fun and rewarding. The Youth Advisory Council was launched in September 2024. If you are a high school student who wants to make an impact, please respond so you can join a group of dedicated high schoolers from across the DMV. We meet virtually once a month, on Sunday evenings for an hour, to collaborate on ideas, hear about upcoming events that need support, and help plan educational opportunities within schools and other oragnizations you are apart of. Note- This opportunity does not involved working directly with seniors. If you are looking for that experience, please connect with your local senior care community and go through their volunteer orientation.
