To assist older persons in achieving retirement in health, honor and dignity with individual freedom and independence in planning and managing their own lives. To provide assistance to all seniors, regardless of race or income in meeting their needs with information, answers on aging and advocacy.

Description

The Coos and Curry County Area Agency on Aging provides information and assistance, Meals on Wheels, congregate mealsites throughout Coos and Curry counties in Oregon. The Oregon Project Independence program helps people stay at home for as long as is safely possible with homecare help provided by homecare workers who have provider numbers issued by the state of Oregon. We also do medical transportation for consumers who have no other way to the Dr. or hospital. The Reassurance program links volunteers with lonely isolated seniors who could use a friendly visit or phone call.
