Summit County Citizen Circle is looking for 4 or 5 volunteers to work on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The meeting location is The Front Porch at 798 Grant St., Akron, OH, 44311. Volunteer duties are to help pass out lunches, surveys, bus or gas cards, and help with other miscellaneous duties to clients who are all Justice Involved Individuals. These individuals have either been in jail, in prison, on probation or on parole and are reentering society. Volunteers will go through a training session. After this, they will walk friendly dogs, play with them, give them treats, and exercise them. No flip flops are allowed. Staff will always be on-site. The goal is to get these dogs adoptable and keep them happy and socialized.
