Mission Statement

Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina, Inc. (N2N), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, promotes independence, relieves isolation, and connects homebound adults to their community through transportation and technology. 2016 Recipient of the state-wide SCANPO Excellence Award (now Together SC). Neighbor to Neighbor dedicated to helping solve adult isolation through passionate and committed volunteers.

Description

Neighbor to Neighbor inspires in us the desire to help our fellow Neighbor who is homebound due to age, disability, and/or chronic illness in Brunswick, Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties. Neighbor to Neighbor is also committed to serving the veterans in our community.

In the spirit of unselfish love, N2N uses innovative technology and best practices in connecting adults in need with qualified and trained volunteers who provide services, such as transportation to medical appointments and other life enhancing destinations, to promote and maintain independent living.

This organization is a god send for people over 60 without transportation and those that are disabled. Besides providing rides to and from medical appointments, Neighbor to Neighbor provides transportation to insure quality of life necessities. These can be anything from a ride to the grocery store to a ride to a senior center. By meeting these needs individuals over 60 or disabled are able to continue living in their homes.

Wonderful staff, great opportunity to make a difference in the community, gets you out of the house, meet new, interesting people, learn what's in your local area (important to someone new to the area, like me), no pressure from the staff, you volunteer on YOUR schedule, and everything is done on your home computer if you desire. I have really enjoyed the year I've been volunteering with N2N and feel that I have favorably impacted many people here in Myrtle Beach. I plan to continue as long as I can drive. Thanks N2N, for the opportunity.

I love our clients!! It has been wonderful to meet so many amazing people. The time commitment is minimal and flexible, and the staff is great to work with. I highly recommend this organization.
