The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of olympic-type sports for al children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Description

We offer sports competitions for the atheletes who have been training. It provides them with a chance to compete with others and win awards.

I volunteered for a special olympics basketball tournament competition. It was a lot of fun and wonderful to see the athletes having fun & bond with some of the athletes along the way. Definitely would recommend getting involved, its very rewarding.
