Mission Statement: Why We Do What We Do
Ebenezer Baptist Church (EBC) is committed to demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ by sharing the gospel and serving the people of God through an array of outreach ministries. Our congregation of volunteers seeks to be a church for the community and not merely in the community. EBC and it's ministries are dedicated to social outreach and wish to do so through collaboration with other community partners.
Feeding the hungry, cloth in the poor, serving the youth population, assisting the underserved/underprivileged, and visiting the imprisoned as well as the sick and shut in are hallmarks of our efforts. We strive to reach the masses whether they know Jesus as the giver of grace and salvation or not. Ebenezer's primary focus is to improve the quality of life for Prince William County residents and to strengthen the communities in which they live, work and worship.
As a religious organization, EBC is seeking to foster cooperative partnership with organizations also interested in the well-being of County residents. Such funding will assist the church in continuing outreach ministry and expanding community engagement to provide assistance to people in need; as well as establish other positive social service program and activities within larger community.
Ebenezer Church relies strongly on the volunteer efforts of its congregation of committed, compassionate, caring members. Financial support, coupled with this level of volunteerism, will make a significant difference and permit the church to become a stronger community services provider of more outreach programs. Funding also provides an added dimension to the congregation's dedicated participation and allow a more public service Presence.
Description
We are a Baptist Church located in Woodbridge, Virginia on the corner of Minniville and Telegraph Road. Ebenezer Baptist Church just celebrated our 131st church anniversary on March 5, 2014. Rev Charles A. Lundy is our Pastor- Teacher under Pastor Lundy's leadership we continue to serve the community through our outreach ministries and Family Life Center. The congregation has grown in recent years from 125 to over 800 members today. The new Sanctuary is currently under construction and the outer shell of the facility was completed in the first quarter of 2012. This little corner of God's vineyard serves as a beacon to those who seek His salvation.
Pastor Lundy remarks that, "with God all things are possible, for the Spirit of God binds us together in love and together 'We Are Marching to Zion".
