Dedicated to teaching adults (ages 16 and older) literacy skills using individualized curricula to enhance self-esteem, increase occupational and social opportunities and to enrich lifestyles.

Description

The Literacy Council has many opportunities for literacy tutors. LCUP provides basic literacy for native English speakers needing help with reading and writing skills. We also provide ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) tutoring for those in need of help with speaking, reading and writing English as well as understanding American culture. LCUP also offers classes that prepare students for the U.S. citizenship test.
