They are so helpful for giving out opportunities internally for the people to enhance their skills through volunteering and sponsorship.

If you are at all considering a career in children’s education, I definitely recommend becoming a Youth Education Volunteer for LINC Housing. I volunteered at the Santa Ana location for nearly a year, under the supervision and direction of Clare Ofield. My volunteering experience there was educational, rewarding, and amazing. Clare is absolutely phenomenal with the children. A warm-hearted, accepting, and humorous person, Clare is also incredibly vigilant, perceptive, and sharp, and does not hesitate to put her foot down when need be. I can only hope that one day I will be as successful in educating, mentoring, and caring for children as she is. Volunteering at LINC is a low-stakes way to test the waters if you are debating a possible career change, or trying to decide upon a major. I can say without hesitation that I am definitely more knowledgeable and better equipped to care for and educate children as a direct result of this experience.

Received an email response a good month after expressing interest in volunteering. Found out at that time they are only seeking "group" volunteers or agencies. Their volunteer opportunities should be better explained and described on volunteer match.

Because helping those in need will give experience and knowledge you need for a job and be prepared for the real word

I volunteered at the Hoover in Whittier and it was a wonderful experience - the onsite staff was amazing, so friendly and you can tell they deeply care about their residents. As a volunteer, I immediately felt like part of the family. Would recommend this organization to anybody who is looking to do volunteer work, great people!
