Description
Our Program
YouthBuild Philadelphia's program includes a diploma track, vocational training (construction, technology and nursing) and community service. In addition, the school provides students with resources and support systems to maneuver the program, develop a sense of empowerment, and transition into full-time jobs, post-secondary educational and training opportunities, and service positions with AmeriCorps.
Duration
YouthBuild Philadelphia enrolls 200 students per year. Participants are divided into two groups that spend alternate six-week sessions in the classroom and the worksite. Students function on a five-day, 12-month schedule from September to August (with time off during select holidays and seasonal events).
