It is flexible, and you have the choice to create your own vision on paper as a gift.

very fun and you can set your own schedule...you just have to send in your hours. only drawback is you are donating the materials with money!

I started volunteering for Store to Door when my oldest daughter was about 5 years old. I heard about the program at my church and thought this would be a great way for me to volunteer and to give back to my community and I could do it from my home and not be away from my daughter. I have been with Store to Door for more than 20 years! I call my clients on Sunday evenings so that we can spend time chatting before and after I take their grocery order. I have made some very dear friendships with the people that I call. I know they look forward to hearing from me and I also look forward to talking with them. Everything is done online and over the phone and it is a very easy process. I know this is a valuable service to the many people Store to Door serves and I am proud to have been involved with them for so many years.

This shopping opportunity works well for people who love to rise and shine early in the morning - or for those who would like to get in some volunteering before they begin their 9-5 job. We've seen youngsters volunteer before school, coming in with a parent to contribute to the community. If you love to shop, you will love this work! I shop at the Maplewood Cub on Fridays and all the volunteers are fun-loving and add a bright spot to my day. We ensure that those people, who cannot get to the grocery store, have fresh groceries delivered to their door. It is a very rewarding contribution !

I moved back to Minnesota about a year ago and began looking for new volunteer opportunities. My Mom has been shopping with the organization for over 10 years and suggested that I try it out. I think it is a really great service that helps seniors to stay independent even if they are unable to make it to the store each week. I now take orders and shop each week! All of the shoppers are really nice and it is always a fun time. It is also a good way for me to spend time with my Mom each week.

My husband and I can do this together. We both had elderly parents that could have benefited from this organization and feel this was a good fit for us. Wonderful people to work with and meet more people each time. Grocery shopping is something we all do and doing for someone else just feels good.

There are a variety of ways to volunteer so it is easy to find something that fits your talents. Time commitment is variable depending on your schedule. It is a concrete way to help people; more hands-on and personal than just donating money or going on a "Walk for whatever." There are lots of fun people involved!

Store to Door helps people stay in their homes. The year round delivery of fresh produce, dairy, bakery, meat and grocery items is greatly appreciated by the people I call. I've volunteered with Store to Door for many years and it feels good to know that nice people are getting good food of their own choosing. I also enjoy sharing friendship with my 'adopted' Mothers, Fathers and Grandparents. I hope that volunteers will be there to help my parents (and eventually me) should the need develop.
