Videographer In-Person Volunteer Position Dallas Pets Alive! is a highly respected animal rescue organization and provides the perfect place to utilize your skills to grow personally and professionally. Your creative skills will contribute to raising awareness, engaging supporters, and promoting the overall impact of our non-profit. Team: Marketing Location : In Person - Located in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and be mainly in-person at our Container/Events. The DPA Container is located at the Dallas Community Beer Garden 3110 Commonwealth Dr, Dallas, TX 75247. Events may also be held around the Dallas, Texas area. Position Responsibilities: Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various purposes, including marketing campaigns, social media posts, product demonstrations, interviews, and corporate events. Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project objectives, target audience demographics, and brand messaging, and translate these into compelling video concepts and scripts. Operate video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices to capture high-quality footage, ensuring proper exposure, focus, and framing. Conduct interviews with subjects and stakeholders, asking relevant questions to elicit engaging responses and stories. Edit video footage using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, incorporating music, graphics, and other visual elements as needed. Ensure video content is optimized for various distribution channels, including websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, and digital advertising. Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position: Proven experience as a videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative work across various video formats and styles. Proficiency in videography techniques, including camera operation, lighting setup, audio recording, and composition. Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, with a strong understanding of video editing principles and techniques. Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to convey messages effectively through visual storytelling. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong portfolio showcasing your videography skills and ability to tell visual stories Understanding of non-profit and animal welfare issues is a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Must be at least 18 years of age Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications Fluency in English; bilingual a plus! Adoption Counselors help the pets in the DPA foster program find homes of their own, and help match make families to their new furry best friends. Team: Adoption Team Location Remote/Virtual: ● Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST timezone. Team: PASS Location: Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST time zone. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. Reports to: The PASS Director and Rehoming Program Team Lead Works with: The general public, other PASS volunteers, the PASS Director, Foster Team, Adoption Team and members of Dallas Pets Alive! (DPA) leadership Position Responsibilities: Assist in reviewing candidate applications and collecting information from North Texas families for participation Ensuring that all pets participating in the program are altered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped and assist with coordinating resources to do so if not Ensuring that approved pets are placed on the DPA website with applicable information and removed post adoption Review prospective adopters and provide support to families who are looking to rehome their pets Ensure adoption agreements are completed between pet owners and adopters Tracking and follow up of all pets in and out of the rehoming program Ensure emails are responded to within 48 hours Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position: Professional and empathetic attitude Must be at least 18 years of age Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications Must exhibit compassion and non-judgement for individuals considering rehoming their pets Google Drive experience required PASS, counseling, social work or rescue experience is helpful Bilingual language ability helpful but not required Ability to operate a computer or mobile device The following activities are required: The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Team: Foster Location: Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST timezone. Time Commitment: Under 5 Hours a week Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. Reports to: Foster App Vetter Lead, Assistant Foster Directors, Foster Director, VP of Animal Operations and the Executive Director. Works with: Will have regular and continuous contact virtually or over the phone with foster team leaders, potential foster parents, and other volunteers. Contacts with others will require tactful exchanges and a positive, professional demeanor. Position Responsibilities: The Foster Application Vetter will conduct reviews and onboarding of those who have applied to foster. Foster application vetters will be processing applications to foster that come in via email. Respond to all in a timely manner with canned email responses. Make/edit notes regarding status as the app is worked. Input data into the appropriate area of ShelterLuv. Report findings to the team so further action may be taken in sending out Welcome email when applications have been approved. Professionally able to decline a foster offer when needed. Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position: Education and Experience: Must be a high school graduate with some related animal/rescue group experience preferred. Ability to operate a computer or mobile device. Ability to work virtually (phone, email). Must be able to access to the internet on assigned day. Must be moderately proficient in use of a computer. Must have excellent written communication skills, and be organized and skilled at record-keeping. Must be comfortable interacting on behalf of DPA, as well as approving & declining applicants as needed. Must be at least 18 years of age Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications Fluency in English; bilingual a plus!
