The Muskegon Conservation District is a unique entity created by the State of Michigan to serve as stewards of our natural resources. Since 1938, our dedicated, professional staff has worked to protect the water, land, and other natural resources of Muskegon County. The District's projects are as diverse as the landscape and include forestry, water protection, preservation and resoration of fish and wildlife habitat, land use planning, recreational resource protection, and environmental education.
