Description

We are a horseback riding center for people with special needs. Many of those who benefit from therapeutic riding include, but are not limited to: cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, muscular distrophy, spina bifida, autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, develmental delay, and post traumatic brain injury. We are also one of the few riding centers who accept quadraplegics.

The center is under the guidance of a seven member board of directors, and our staff includes a Certified NAHRA (North American Handicapped Riding Associantion) Instructor, and eight well-trained horses. Each rider is assessed by our volunteer Physical Therapist and approved to the program by their personal physician.

The activities for each rider are the adapted to their needs and abilities and are geared toward contributing to their cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being.
