Reliance Hospice

I"ve been volunteering at Reliance Hospice for several years. This has been a fulfilling experience for me. In my 17 years of volunteering at various organizations in Coachella Valley, I've never before encountered such genuine appreciation for my efforts, which appreciation is expressed every day that I volunteer. Even some Reliance staff members whose patients may not always directly benefit from my assistance will express their appreciation of my volunteer commitment!

I celebrated the 50th anniversary of my 21st birthday this year. I spent my career working in offices, for a variety of different types of companies, doing jobs that for the most part no longer exist. I have worked for and with a lot of different people. Some were good experiences, others not so much and some were GREAT EXPERIENCES, I've been retired for 15 years. My experience with the upper management and staff at Reliance has always been a GREAT EXPERIENCE for me. I see how they have made the best interest of their clients their first priority. They have shown me nothing but respect and support. I'm honored to be a part of the Reliance Team.

Reliance Hospice is one of the most well-run and caring organizations I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. I have been a volunteer for Reliance Hospice for a year and a half, and I still find it just as rewarding today as I did on my first day. Sitting with patients and providing comfort, companionship and socialization offers me a unique opportunity to give back and to meet the needs of those who may not otherwise receive a lot of attention. I highly recommend Reliance Hospice and this unique and special experience to anyone who may be exploring volunteer opportunities.
