Mission Statement
Easter Seals New York provides programs and services to children and adults with disabilities and other special needs, and their families. Our goal is to help individuals with special needs gain dignity, equality and independence. We provide the highest quality services in the most caring and cost-effective manner. Our staff and volunteers have a long-standing commitment to serve those for whom no other resources exist.
Description
Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives for more than 80 years. Whether helping someone improve physical mobility, return to work, or simply gain greater independence in everyday living, Easter Seals has a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.
Children and adults with disabilities and special needs find the highest-quality services designed to meet their individual needs when they come to Easter Seals. Teams of therapists, teachers and other health professionals help each person overcome obstacles to independence and reach his or her personal goals. Easter Seals also includes families as active members of any therapy program, and offers the support families need.
