Dying with dignity is a human right. At Heartland Hospice we are dedicated to providing compassionate high quality hospice care. Whether working in the office, serenading a patient bedside, crocheting a lap blanket for cold winter nights, or just holding a frail hand, volunteers bring their own skills to the table. We are thankful for you.

I believe we should never give up on the wonderful men and women who have served our country. They need and deserve all the help that we can give them.

Heartland Hospice is great to volunteer with because they provide training and only gave me volunteer opportunities that worked with my schedule, and close to home!

Heartland Hospice is a wonderful organization helping people in difficult situations. Looking someone in the eye and treating them with dignity and love is an incredibly rewarding experience. It seems like elderly dementia patients are not visited as often as others but I believe that a kind touch and word still touches the soul and makes a difference.

The people are very efficient and friendly. I also find that they tend to help each other through the rough and easy times. I am proud to be on this team of loving, caring and devoted people.

This is a great team to work with. I not only help patients as a volunteer, but also learned stuff from my team which really enriched my life in a valuable way.

Heartland has provided me with so many opportunities to serve a most diverse group of wonderful folks. The people I visit give to me tenfold anything I do for them. Heartland offers me the gift of connecting with very special people who will always live in my heart. I appreciate the support and encouragement of Lisa, the volunteer coordinator at Heartland. She is always available for my questions or concerns. If you want a powerful and amazing life experience, volunteer your time through Heartland.

It is definitely better to give than to receive! Training and helpful workshops are available. Hours are flexible.
