Darfur Women Action Group takes a unique approach to genocide prevention and women empowerment and looking for passionate individuals to work toward advancing its mission. DWAG is seeking ambitious candidates interested in advancing the goals this organization is striving to achieve to fill the Communication Intern/Volunteer position in the summer, fall, and winter/spring terms. This position is for a minimum of three months, open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates and other interested candidates. The ideal candidate must: - Be able to commit 20-30 hours per week - Be organized and punctual - Have excellent writing and communication skills - Has knowledge in using various social media network platforms - Be proficient in MS Word usage - Be passionate about human rights issues! - Be able to update content on the website - Videotaping and editing will be a plus - Basic Knowledge of marketing skills Major Responsibilities: - Assist in editing and updating the website materials - Support the development of relationships with media outlets - Compile regular updates of news related to DWAG’s work - Assist in drafting press releases and statements - Assist in organizing digital and online events

DWAG believes that empowering the most affected groups and building strong leadership among those who are historically excluded to enable them to lead and foster positive change in their communities as the most vital approach to sustainably end genocide. DWAG is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the Development intern/volunteer position in the summer, fall, and winter/spring terms. This position is for a minimum of three months, open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates and other interested candidates. Interested candidates must be available for a minimum of 20 hours a week from 9 AM to 5 PM (all EDT). Major Responsibilities: - Assist with grant proposals, including researching potential grants, editing proposal reports, and tracking submission deadlines - Support the identification of potential donors and supporters - Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with foundations, organizations, and individual supporters - Manage donation entry and tracking process - Analyze trends in donations, gift-giving, and fundraising - Become familiar with fundraising opportunities both online and off-line

This position is for a minimum of three months, open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates and other interested candidates. Responsibilities include: - Attending meetings, seminars, and workshops to remain up-to-date on information about violent conflicts, human rights violations, and VAW incidents - Coordinating online advocacy campaigns - Maintaining official partnerships; contact partners for updates, consultation meetings, campaigns, and events - Conducting outreach and identifying new potential partners for collaboration - Maintaining appointment schedules and calendar of events The ideal candidate must: - Be able to commit a minimum of 20-30 hours per week - Be organized and punctual - Have excellent writing skills - Be proficient in MS Word usage - Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills - Be passionate about human rights and women's issues!

This position is for a minimum of three months, open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates and other interested candidates. Interested candidates must be available for a minimum of 20 hours a week from 9 AM to 5 PM (all EDT). The ideal candidate must: Be a current student or recent graduate (Masters students preferred, but not required); Be organized and punctual; Possess strong leadership, team spirit, and communication skills; Be proficient in MS Office; Previous grant writing experience a plus, but not required; Have a passion for women’s rights and human rights issues. Major Responsibilities Lead grant research efforts and attend weekly grant team meetings; Assist in drafting of grant proposals, including budgets; Assist in liaising between other interns and leadership team; Assist in additional program and event tasks as they arise, which may include report writing and editing, event-related assistance, and administrative tasks.
