The CASA Vision: Every child in need is appointed a CASA to champion for them in court, without compromise, on the path to a safe and permanent home.

Description

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sacramento (CASA Sacramento) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that trains volunteers to work with children who have been removed from their homes due to allegations of abuse and neglect. Advocates become personnel of the court, mentors and advocates for children in the Sacramento County juvenile dependency system. A minimum comitment of 18 months and 10-15 hours a month is required. Must be at least 21 years old. Training class, background check and references required. Male volunteers and bilingual volunteers especially needed.
