Mission Statement

The urgent mission of The Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. (FFB) is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration, Usher Syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.

Description

Each year, our VisionWalks raise awareness and funds for blinding eye diseases. We are asking for your support to raise lots of great research dollars for retinal degenerative diseases and help our Walk Day run well. Throughout the Midwest, the Foundation Fighting Blindness hosts VisionWalks in every state - walkathon-style fundraisers to support the mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The events feature entertainment and family friendly activities.

VisionWalk is a completely free event and we welcome participants and volunteers of all ages to join us! To register for this great event, please visit our website at www.VisionWalk.org or contact our office at (847) 549-1400.

The members of the Foundation for Fighting Blindness were very professional towards me, and the other volunteers. Additionally, they were very nice and considerate towards us as volunteers, and towards the individuals who participated in the event.

Although I was unable to make it to the volunteer opportunity, the organization is working towards a good cause.
