Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve people in need by providing access to the health and social service resources that can improve their lives.

Description

Benefits Application Assistance

ECHOS is a healthcare benefits access guide for our clients. Our Community Health Workers help families access the services they are eligible for. We help families submit applications for assistance programs such as Medicaid, CHIP, Harris Health (Gold Card), Medicare and SNAP (Food Stamps).

Homelessness Prevention Program

ECHOS provides basic needs and disaster financial assistance as funding allows. We also help families pay their rent/utilities with programs designed to prevent homelessness. Clients receive individualized case management to help achieve their goals and increase their families’ stability.

Food Security Program

ECHOS is weekly drive-through food distributions every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Walk-up are also welcome. We distribute nutritious non-perishable foods that help families augment their budgets and keep their children nourished. We also distribute fresh meat, fruits and vegetables from our partners at the Houston Food Bank, Second Servings and Common Market.

Healthcare Mobile Clinics

ECHOS partners with healthcare providers to build a healthy community, providing a safe, central location for children’s immunizations. The Texas Children’s mobile clinic visits our campus weekly, and appointments can be made by calling them at 832-824-6355.
