Mission Statement
The mission of the Koreatown Youth and Community Center, Inc. (KYCC) is to serve the evolving needs of the Korean American population in the greater Los Angeles Area as well as the multi-ethnic Koreatown community programs and services are directed toward recently immigrated, economically disadvantaged youth and families, and to promote community socioeconomic empowerment.
Description
The Koreatown Youth and Community Center was established in 1975 to support a growing population of at-risk youth in Los Angeles. Today, KYCC is the leading multiservice organization in Koreatown, supporting low-income and recently immigrated children and their families in the areas of education, health, housing, and finances. Our volunteer opportunities range from short-to-long term, unskilled to skilled, for youth and adults, and ranging from everything from community research to tutoring to tree planting. Our work isn't possible without the support of volunteers, so if you're interested please don't hesitate to reach out to get started or learn more!
