If you love to sing or play an instrument, you could become a Companion Volunteer who also sings and plays music for a hospice patient in a local nursing facility or sometimes in their own home. In order to volunteer and visit patients, you must have your own dog who is certified through TDI, Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs or West Michigan Therapy Dogs Inc. Volunteer hours are very flexible. Volunteer hours can be completed during weekdays, evenings or weekends.
