Mission Statement
To work with the Nathaniel P. Reed National Wildlife Refuge to educate, inspire, and empower people of all ages to protect and conserve South Florida's unique, critical habitats and wildlife
Description
Visitors to the Hobe Sound Nature Center may interact with our non-releasable, resident wildlife, including turtles, snakes, alligators, and bugs, while learning about their unique natural history. We also host guided hikes, a spring lecture series, library programs, seasonal turtle walks (FWC permitted) and special, family friend events. After visiting our wildlife museum, visitors may take a stroll down the refuge scrub trails and then dip their toes in the tranquil waters of the Indian River Lagoon!
