Come volunteer in our Clothing Room, where clients can shop for clothes, shoes, and other household goods. In this position, you will providing direct client service by helping clients find things, checking out the items they pick, and distributing miscellaneous items that we have on hand (diapers, dog food, etc). This is such an important part of what we do here at NourishPHX. Come help out in a big way and help clients walk away with essential items! We serve over 100 clients every day with only a staff of 10. We cannot do this without volunteer support! We have available shifts Monday-Friday, 8:30am-11:30am. We receive thousands of pounds of donations each and every week, and are in great need of awesome volunteers to sort and organize those donations! Sorting volunteers allow us to give our clients a real shopping experience, where they are treated with dignity and respect as they select items that have been vetted, sized, and hung up nicely by volunteers. Purpose: To help NourishPHX sort through and organize clothing, shoes, household goods, toiletries, and other miscellaneous items that are donated. Includes restocking the Clothing Room when needed, hanging/folding clothing, and making hygiene bags for clients. Qualifications: Must have the ability to do physical work such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time. Volunteers should be able to work in a fast-pace environment with minimal supervision. Organizational skills and the ability to work independently are preferred. Indirect and direct client service positions are available. Benefits: Volunteer will be able to help restock the Clothing Room for the following day of operations, allowing clients the opportunity to receive a larger variety of clothing. Volunteer will be able to provide tremendous help in a "behind the scenes" position.

*This position requires a 30 minute training prior to volunteering. Please reach out to mckenna@nourishphx.org to schedule a time to come in* Purpose: To welcome clients to Nourish, process clients to receive food boxes, sign up clients for clothing, offer literature on specific assistance (if applicable), and enter data into a food bank database. These volunteers are the first people our clients see, creating the opportunity to immediately offer compassion and respect to everyone who walks through our doors. Qualifications: Being fluent in Spanish and English is REQUIRED. Looking for someone who can consistently come and volunteer every week, either on Wednesday or Friday. Computer and problem solving skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, able to have interpersonal connections is helpful. Great customer service skills and the ability to learn, understand, and abide by policies and implement when needed.

We are looking for pantry volunteers to help build and hand out food boxes to families in need. This can be both a direct service position and indirect position. Must be able to bend, stand, and lift heavy food boxes (30-40 lbs) for 2 hours. We are a busy food pantry, serving upwards of 150 clients and families every single day. To accomplish this, we need energetic and motivated volunteers to ensure that our clients can get the food they need. Come join our fast-paced and fun food pantry team today!
