Mission Statement
Our mission is to help Seniors and disabled adults throughout San Antonio, maintain healthy, independent lifestyles by providing free personalized transportation and services that help to enhance their quality of life and mobility.
Description
Jefferson Outreach is a non-profit organization that was established in 1984. For the past 34 years Jefferson Outreach has continued to provide free transportation to seniors over the age of 60 within the San Antonio area. We are funded by United Way, AACOG, Bexar County and donations from churches and many of our 500+ Clients. Other services we offer are Telephone reassurance on a weekly basis to home bound Seniors and referral services upon request by family members or our clients. Our goals for the future are to expand our transportation area through the help of recruiting more Volunteer drivers.

The Jefferson Outreach provides much-needed assistance to the frail elderly so they can stay in their homes as long as possible - maintaining independence and dignity.
The Outreach doesn't get big bucks from United Way or government. They rely completely on a handful of volunteers - many of whom are as old or older than those they serve. If you want a place to really make a difference - to personally connect with people who really need your help - call the Jefferson Outreach.
