Interested in supporting youth as they exit residential treatment care? Lighthouse offers multiple residential treatment programs for youth that have experienced trauma. These youth are in Lighthouse's care for an extended period of time where they consistently communicate with therapists, case managers, and staff. Lighthouse works towards allowing these youth to talk through their trauma and past experiences so that they can have a better footing as they exit our programs. In saying this, our programs try to ensure that these youth are provided "going away" bags. These bags are full of items that can give these youth some sort of foundation and reward as they enter back into society. Lighthouse would love your support to receive donations of these items in pre-made bags. Listed below are a general list of items we try to provide, but we are open to adding any additional items you would like to provide. Thank you and please reach out to Silver Crable at scrable@lys.org to answer any questions you may have. Do you like to provide snacks to your child's classroom or sports club? If so, this opportunity would be perfect for you! Lighthouse actively engages youth to participate in group mental health, substance abuse, and prosocial activities several days a week. These youth often come to these group sessions right after school from 4 pm - 6:30 pm, directly after school, so we like to provide a variety of snacks and drinks during programming to keep them engaged and alert. Below is a list of items that we have noticed the youth enjoy during their group sessions. If you would be willing to donate one, or more, of these items, we would greatly appreciate it. Snacks can be dropped off at our office location (2433 Iowa Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206) Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
