RE: FIX IT machine-generated transcript game opportunity. Very flexible. You can log in whenever you like and do as little or as much as you want. Clear format requirements accessible while you're "playing." Sometimes, there are errors in sections that aren't part of the game, which is frustrating. I've been "playing" a few months now, but I'm not sure how much of an impact we're making, as the game still shows 0 transcripts fixed. Still, a worthy cause.

Sorry, I'm not qualified to answer as I haven't worked with this organization, yet! BUT, I can & will say that I love!! WGBH & I believe that working with or for these guys, must be an interesting (at least) and likely rewarding experience!! I will come back to this review when I've been wizened by my own volunteer experience at WGBH!!

Volunteering with WGBH was just fantastic.
I volunteered as a Costume Character and the work was exactly as advertised (and wonderfully rewarding). The organizers kept plenty of bottled water around so we were never without hydration, which is always important. Preparation materials were sent out in advance and the schedule was properly adhered to. All in all, just a really wonderful job, and I would look forward to volunteering with WGBH again.
