Twinleaf Gift Shop Volunteer at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve

Flexible Schedule | New Hope, PA 18938

Gift Shop Cashier (year-round): You will be ringing up purchases in the Twinleaf gift shop at our Visitor's Center. Being friendly and personable is key! You might be answering questions and orienting guests who are new to the Preserve. Checking out guests with their purchases from the shop with our easy POS system. Handing out our map is always helpful. You can talk about our membership options and all the benefits while showing guests the membership kiosk in the auditorium so that they may sign up. You might be performing light tasks for the gift shop such as putting out inventory or answering phones. Giftshop shifts are from AM-9am-1pm or PM-1pm-5pm. Shifts are flexible and can work with whatever schedule you have. Volunteers also get a volunteer t-shirt, 20% off at the shop and nursery, volunteer fieldtrips, an annual appreciation event and many more! Come meet some like-minded folks and get to learn about the native plants that help support our environment!

Nursery Cashier Volunteer

Nursery Cashier (seasonal): Volunteer shifts are from 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm. Shifts are flexible and are available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays. Ring up customers at the nursery with their plants and answer questions or direct them to our Native Garden Guides, if they need assistance. Nursery Checkout is done near the nursery with our easy-to-use POS system. Scanning the plants barcodes makes checkout simple.

Admission Gatehouse Volunteers Needed at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is in need of multiple admission gate volunteers to help support operations, year-round. Admissions gate volunteers are the face of Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve and one of our most sought-after volunteer opportunities. Come meet like-minded people and enjoy the outdoors! Admission gate duties include greeting and orienting visitors, answering questions, operating the cash register, and checking in members and participants for programs. Talking about our membership options and the benefits it could give to our visitors. Hand out maps and direct visitors in the right direction. Volunteers should enjoy working with people and have a great sense of customer service. This position requires hands-on training. Interested individuals should be able to work independently. Schedules are flexible and there are multiple shifts available. Volunteer shifts are from 9am-12:30pm or 12:30-4pm. We are looking for weekday and weekend volunteers. All volunteers receive 20% off our shop and nursery as well as a volunteer t-shirt, annual appreciation events, educational field trips and more! Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is located in Bucks County’s historic Pidcock Creek Valley that encompasses 134 acres with 5 miles of hiking trails. The Preserve is an accredited native plant museum by the American Museum Alliance that features over 700 native plant species and an ecologically diverse landscape. Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve is located in Bucks County PA. 134 acre wildflower preserve with almost 4.5 miles of walking trails, streams, wildlife and over 700 species of native Pennsylvania plants. The Preserve's main purpose is educational. Constant stewardship of the property and plant propagation is of utmost importance.
