Key Responsibilities: Welcome and direct patients at the Emergency Department entrance Escort patients and families to various areas, including labs, restrooms, and waiting rooms Provide comfort items like blankets and reading materials during wait times Maintain a clean and organized waiting area, ensuring a pleasant environment Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members Assist with transportation needs, including wheelchairs Alert staff to any concerns or special needs of patients What We’re Looking For: A self-motivated individual who can work independently Sensitivity to those experiencing trauma, pain, or grief Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure Flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced ED environment Comfort with observing strict patient confidentiality Ability to interact positively with diverse populations, including children Physical capability to assist with patient transport and manage tasks in the ED Why Volunteer With Us?
