The East Bay Regional Park District will preserve a priceless heritage of natural and cultural resources, open space, parks and trails for the future and will set aside park areas for enjoyment and healthful recreation for generations to come.

Description

The East Bay Regional Park District is a system of beautiful parklands and trails in Alameda and Contra Costa counties to the east of San Francisco. The system comprises 121,397 acres in 73 parks, including over 1,250 miles of trails, 29 regional inter-park trails 1,250 miles of trails within parklands 11 freshwater swimming areas, boating and/or stocked fishing lakes and lagoons, 40 fishing docks, 3 bay fishing piers, 235 family campsites, 42 youth camping areas, 2,082 family picnic tables 1,707 reservable group picnic tables 9 interpretive and education centers 18 childrens' play areas Wedding, meeting and banquet facilities. We acquire, manage, and preserve natural and cultural resources for all to enjoy now and into the future.
