Mission Statement
The mission of KIPP Jacksonville Schools is to prepare our students with the academic and character skills necessary to succeed in high school, college and the competitive world beyond. Through the success of our students, KIPP Jacksonville will serve as a model of excellence and collaborate with others to raise the quality of education in Jacksonville and the state of Florida.
Description
KIPP, the Knowledge is Power Program, is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record for preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and life. There are currently 99 KIPP schools in 20 states across the U.S. serving over 26,000 students. KIPP Jacksonville opened the first KIPP school in Florida, KIPP Impact Middle School, in August 2010 and plans to grow to five schools in Jacksonville over the coming years.
